Five Day Sanctuary Training
March 18th to March 22nd, 2019
The Sanctuary Institute’s Five Day Sanctuary Training is a dynamic learning experience. The Sanctuary Model® integrates a trauma-informed response to adverse experiences on an organizational level and provides an opportunity to learn and practice tools over the course of four days. The fifth day is spent with a small group of leaders and faculty to outline a timeline and specific structure for consultation with the sites to maintain a consistency in meeting milestones across the whole organization. The Model is essential to promoting growth and resilience both in the people who seek treatment and in the people and systems who provide that treatment.

The Sanctuary Model of Trauma-Informed Care
We cannot hope to heal the clients we serve if we do not first heal the environments in which they receive care. A trauma-informed service setting is itself a community, and therefore as vulnerable to the effects of trauma, chronic stress and adversity as the patients/clients they treat. Successful trauma-informed interventions look at both clients and the organization itself as vulnerable to the effects of trauma.
