Keisha Oxford joined ANDRUS in 2018 as the Director of Business Operations at the Sanctuary Institute. In her capacity she provides oversight for contracts, budgets and all facets of policies and practices at the Institute. She has 18 years of experience as a business administration professional working in higher education, small business environments, and local government and city agencies. She has spent most of her career at NYU in the capacity of organizational management streamlining systems and processes.
In her previous roles as a project manager and business director she has been charged with providing technical assistance training to school leaders and overseeing multi-million dollar federal and private funded programs of up to $125MM. In addition, Keisha has over seven years of research and grant writing experience partnering with the US Department of Education (USDOE), New York State Education Department (NYSED) and New York City Department of Education (NYDOE) addressing issues on equity in education and access for all children. As an astute, results-driven and insightful leader, Keisha cultivates business relationships to enhance and expand resources. Additionally, she is affiliated with various non-profit organizations that address issues on equity in education and excellence. She also consults with local businesses on organizational management strategies. Keisha holds a bachelor’s degree in film & television, a master’s degree in media, culture & communication both from New York University, and an MBA in entrepreneurship and finance from Southern New Hampshire University.
