Call for Proposals
As a member of the Sanctuary Network of practice, we invite you to submit proposals for workshops for the Sanctuary Network Conference being held from April 30 – May 2, 2019. These workshops should be relevant to the learning tracks identified for this year –Resilience, Sustainability and Research in the Field of Trauma Informed Care; and should highlight experiences, innovations, practical strategies or uses of the Sanctuary Model that would be interesting and support organizations as they implement the Model.
This year’s theme for Network Days is Evolution: The Transformation of Resilient Organizations. As such, we welcome proposals for workshops that will support this year’s theme and emphasizes the transformative nature of the Sanctuary Model.
As you plan and prepare your proposal, please keep in mind that the workshops are one hour and 15 minutes each, and presenters should include time within this window to allow for attendee questions.
Proposals will be evaluated by the Workshop Committee (a representative group of Sanctuary Network Members and Sanctuary faculty members). Evaluators will independently review each proposal and provide a total score based on:
– Relevance to the Sanctuary Model and the learning tracks (identified above)
– Originality and innovation of the proposal, including the use of interactive and experiential modalities
– Applicability of information to others in the Network
An average of the evaluators’ scores will be assigned to the proposal and those with the highest scores will be selected for presentation after Committee consensus. It should be noted that each Sanctuary Network organization may submit up to three proposals. While an organization may have more than one proposal selected, the goal is to provide a diverse representative selection of workshops from across the Sanctuary Network.
Please note that Social Work CEUs will be offered for each workshop session and we will be requesting some specific and detailed information for those proposals that are selected.
Please note that if you submitted a proposal for Network Days 2016 and would like to have it considered, please resubmit your proposal following the below directions.
